Frequently Asked Questions
Is breakfast included?
Yes, all reservations come with a homemade breakfast as a part of the reservation.
What time is breakfast?
We offer two breakfast options: 1) The Earlier Riser breakfast served from 7:30-8:00am featuring fresh baked morning pastries and coffee, 2) The Traditional Full Service Breakfast served at 8:30am featuring homemade hot breakfast entree, fresh fruit, yogurt, & more. You will select your preferred option when filling out the online check-in form!
How do we access the room?
Each guest room has an electronic keyless entry. You will be provided a unique and secure door code via text the morning of your arrival. Please be on the look out for the text message. This code works for your room and the front and back door.
Where do we park?
You may park in our private lot behind the house (street parking requires a permit and you may be ticketed).
Each guest room is allotted 1 space on a first come, first serve basis. We encourage groups traveling together to double park their vehicles to preserve parking spaces for others. Please see the attached parking map for more details.
If the parking lot is full, please visit the parking page on shortnorth.org for full list of public parking options, including the parking garage next-door. We do not offer parking reimbursement.

How do we get in the building after hours?
You will receive a unique door code that will allow access to the front and backdoor, as well as your room. Look for a text message on the morning of your arrival. If you booked your stay after 10am on the same day as arrival, the code will be texted you manually.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, please notify us ahead of your stay, and we will do our best to meet your dietary needs. You can do this on the check-in form or by sending an email head of time.
Is there a curfew to enter the property or check-in?
No, there is no curfew. Guests may return or check-in at any time. Please be courteous to the other guests who may be asleep.
Does each room have separate temperature controls?
No, each room does not have separate temperature controls. We have two separate controls on the second floor that service the entire house. We do our best to set a temperature that is comfortable for everyone. We also provide fans, space-heaters, and extra blankets in each room for your comfort.
